Urgesteinprimary rock

Engabrunner Haide and Engabrunner Stein, two of our vineyards that are situated higher above sea level than the others, are mainly characterised by weathered primary rock.

Formed over millions of years out of gneiss (feldspar, quartz, mica, and granite), this soil structure provides support, minerals, and deep water reservoirs for the vines.

Ideal conditions for wines with a fine structure, endless minerality, and a great aging potential for many years!
